Topographical harmony and botanical integration.

Our landscape practice designs minimalist outdoor interventions, naturalized rain gardens, and hardscapes using locally quarried stone. We prioritize biodiversity recovery and weather-resilient landforms.

Every intervention seeks to merge the built footprint seamlessly with the site's natural topography, allowing architecture and environment to coexist in absolute equilibrium.

Blacksburg Water Court

RESIDENTIAL

A sunken meditative garden enclosed by board-formed concrete retaining walls and structured slate pathways. The design centers around a still water mirror that reflects shifting atmospheric conditions.

Surrounding plantings feature uncultivated native grasses and low-lying shrubs, establishing a seamless ecological transition between the manicured courtyard and the wider rural landscape.

Flake Valley

INSTITUTIONAL & RESIDENTIAL

This sustainable landscape features low-rise brick structures covered by extensive green roofs and living walls. Winding water canals and pedestrian bridges meander through agricultural garden plots.

Rolling green hills rise smoothly along the distant horizon. A network of outdoor pathways connects the eco-focused community spaces beneath a wide open sky.
